Marketing & Media South Africa

Advertising can be so gay... right?

Dylan Balkind says it really is a fine time to be gay. The world's getting its rainbow on more than ever, despite some insistent folks who aren't that happy about it. That's why he reckons advertising can be so gay.

The Ogilvyearth Sustainability Survey shows how doing good is good for business, and reveals how consumers want businesses to give them the right reasons to buy their products and services. So come on... do the right thing and give them those reasons to do business with you.

Your company has embraced 'green', right? But there are some myths and misconceptions around the whole issue of 'sustainability', 'green', carbon footprints and so on. Here, Melissa Baird tells you what 'green' marketing is not...

What's your view on social media? If you're not too overjoyed with it, Wayne Levine suggests you change your tune and view social media as help, rather than hindrance. Perhaps, rather than taking a somewhat jaundiced view of your people facebooking and tweeting from work, what about looking at them as tools to be embraced to enhance business communication to external and internal stakeholder audiences?
