A last look at Design Indaba

Today sees another pair of Terry Levin's report-backs on Design Indaba, in which she shows how David Adjaye is shining the light, and you can read the second part of Design in context.

On the youth marketing front, Veli Dlamini reckons that youth marketing needs to be practical not theoretical. As he says, when people love a brand's personality, price becomes the last thing they focus on when buying a product.

And the show goes on at the SABC, where Hlaudi Motsoeneng, formerly acting COO, and then removed from the position, is now back. It appears he's weathered the storm... for now.

Chantel Botha discusses the rules of the new conversation economy. She reckons it's been a case of marketers and brands telling consumers what they need, why they need it and what would be a reasonable price to pay to satisfy the need. Perhaps things are changing, however.

And finally, be sure to get the podcast of our latest Biz Takeouts show to find out more about specialist based consulting agency, Fast & Remarkable.
