Marketing & Media South Africa

Argus & Sons... Coming back home?

Foreign direct investment is good, right? Not always... Chris Moerdyk looks back on what happened when the Irish took over a major South African media group and basically... well, let Chris tell the story as he welcomes home Argus & Sons.

On the privacy front, the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) is going to be with us soon, and Steve Ferguson tells you how to protect privacy and add to the bottom line.

Legally speaking... it appears that Moeletsi Mbeki is not very pleased with Mail & Guardian and wants a little cash from them - make that a lot of cash. So, MM is miffed with M&G and there's more as well, on Iqbal Survé, South Africa's latest media mogul, and David Bullard reckons Oscar Pistorius is living the Twitter nightmare.

Finally, as with every Monday, except when our president is waxing lyrical on the State of The Nation, we bring you the report on the latest Biz Takeouts Podcast. This time it is #53 and it deals with Content 2013 and content marketing.

Rod Baker: Content Director
