Show profile Hide profileAfter completing a BA degree at the University of Witwatersrand, with majors in Media Studies and Psychology, I decided to further my education, and specifically my love for writing, by enrolling at the Red and Yellow School of Advertising in Cape Town.
My two year course specialised in copywriting and language, and enabled me to not only live and play in a new and foreign city, but to do so with fresh thinking and ways of communication. Red and Yellow unearthed my creativity, a desire to produce socially beneficial and timeless content. Together with a whirlwind final year, and the Red and Yellow instruction to be an ever absorbing 'sponge', I embarked on a year off beginning my travels in the Unites States and ending them in Greece.
Since graduating I have been able to spend a working season in Colorado on the powder fresh slopes of Vail. The single most exciting and life changing experience to date. The people, the place and the lifestyle, an uninhibited form of fun. Vegas, San Francisco and New York so too exceeded expectations. Greece was a wild card, a much needed burst of vitamin A, in a culture-rich society.
Today, I work for a small advertising agency in the Northern Suburbs as an Account Executive, where I find myself passionately, challenged on a daily basis.
