It has been a great experience moving from one segment in the industry to the next, learning about the intricate details of each one. I worked in an airline, as an operations manager for a tour operator, I ran a luxury lodge for a while and worked as a tour guide for many years. Following that, I designed and coordinated holiday packages for international travellers.
I have been lucky to have travelled extensively over some of the time, mainly through Africa, but also overseas growing my knowledge and expertise of travel.
I ran my own small and personalised travel company for 4 years, based in Cape Town, South Africa, designing and coordinate all-inclusive holiday packages throughout Southern Africa. During this time I served on the SATSA Western Cape committee - (Southern African Tourism Services Association).
Just recently I sold my company and am now enjoying a General Management position at a beautiful 4 star boutique guest house in Blouberstrand, Cape Town.
