Duties: Online Sales & Website Maintenance:
I manage Xperien's bid or buy account/shop as well as Xperien's e-commerce store. I make sure that both online stores are always updated (I upload all product images and add descriptions, prices and etc.) and provide replies to online customer's quires. I also have the task of finding a specific product's image on the internet (this requires advance internet searching skills) and then once I have selected the image I would use Photoshop CS6 to make sure the picture meet the visual requirements that were stipulated to me by my super visor before uploading to the e-commerce sore or the bid or buy account/shop. This is done on a weekly basis.
Project Management
I was a project manager for two of Xperien software development projects. Xperien needed to build customized that will fit their unique business needs. Some of the important roles I played for both projects were:
Identify the budget and time frame for the project.
Do research and various feasibility studies that are related to the custom software that with be developed.
Design a project proposal brief that will be sent to the outsourcing company.
Find a suitable outsourcing company to build the software.
Keep constant communication between executives and outsourcing company.
Attend to any queries that the outsourcing company might have regarding the project.
Make sure outsourcing company delivers software on time.
Database Administrator Training
Xperien was using one excel spread sheet to manage all their data (this resulted in cumbersome spread sheet with a lot of columns and rows). I first normalised their excel spread sheet and then proceeded to create a new excel database that has multiple sheets that are connected using a foreign keys (this new spread sheet made it easier to enter, modify, delete and view data). I was then assigned to come up with a database system & application that would make daily processes more efficient. I drew up a brief and a presentation for the proposed system. I presented the proposed system to executives and the system was approved; I was assigned to head the project.
I am currently doing a MCSE BI course to become a certified Database administrator as well as a BI Developer.
Assistant to Managing Director and CEO
I was assigned as a personal assistant to the MD and CEO. My duties included:
Taking minutes at meetings
Dealing with some client complaints which were directed to the MD
Running personal errands
Sitting in for receptionist during her lunch time or off days
Etc.
Warehouse Inventory Management
I was assigned with the coming up with a new shelving and arranging system. I had to work at the inventory warehouse for a month as to understand how the warehouse inventory management they functions and then come up with a better and more efficient way of management. I successfully completed this task.
