Show profile Hide profileI have always been in the advertising & publishing industry, started my career as a layout artist/finished artist, the old fashion way before the days of Apple Mac, flat art, non computer generated ads and it seems a lifetime ago. (Actually it is a lifetime ago)
Then progress came about, and I was thrown into the world of desktop publishing, welcome into the land of Mac & PC.
My career has spanned many years, both here and a stint of several years in London, where I worked on a weekly published magazine as a DTP Operator/finished artist & Assistant roduction manager. (Anyone familiar with TNT Magazine)
Wanting to bring our daughter up in this beautiful city, we returned to brace the shores of Cape Town. Upon my (our) return, I decided to go the freelance route work wise in order to have the best of both worlds, be a mom and a working lady. I love the choice I have made working in an industry that's exciting and fast moving, the variety of work @ the different advertising agencies, keeps the mind stimulated.
It was at one of the agencies that fueled my passion for flower arranging, I'd go in and tongue would just about hit the floor as I constantly admired the most magnificent flower arrangements @ Reception.
After much Googling, I found the info that I needed and did a flower arranging course, that's just the beginning....my fingers are itching for more.
If I'm not scouting the flower shops and drooling over beautiful arrangements and gorgeous flowers then I'm doing Design work, Desktop Publishing/layout or Finished art, both onsite or at home.
So my passion is becoming a reality, creating beautiful floral arrangements & creating beautiful artwork.
