I hope you are well.
My husband and I are relocating from Durban at the end of May. I was previously an Account Manager at Beetle Inc, a through the line marketing agency based in Durban. I have been responsible for guiding a team of talented marketers towards creating campaigns which are in line with clients' business objectives.
My journey into marketing started in 2012. I had already graduated with a BCom Marketing from UNISA, but was unsure how I fitted into the marketing landscape. That was until I took up a position, firstly as Administrator and then as Account Executive, at Durban-based promotions and events company - The Leading Edge. Here I was fortunate enough to manage promotors for big brand events.
I was then promoted to Events Project Manager where I oversaw the development of tradeshow solutions for various Unilever brands.
In 2015 I was recruited by Beetle Inc as a Junior Account Executive and quickly progressed to Account Executive. The agency soon identified me as a meticulous organiser and outsourced my services to a large and challenging account - The Misty Blue Property Group - where I held the position of Marketing Manager until the birth of my daughter in February 2017. I then returned to Beetle Inc in June 2017 to head up a rapidly growing portfolio of retail and traditional clients as an Account Manager and Team Leader.
These positions have allowed me to oversee teams of talented young Account Executives and Digital Strategists, and liaise between in-house creative teams and clients to ensure marketing objectives were being met.
