ICASA says no to regional TV licences
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has stated in a position paper that it will not be granting any regional commercial TV licences in the mid to long term. It adds that the local market is not yet ready to sustain regional services dependent on advertising revenue for their viability.
