Background screening stats out

EMPS has just released its annual background screening report for 2010 and reveals that as many as 13 in 100 job applicants have criminal records, the percentage of applicants with credit records went up 2% from last year's 23% to 25% and invalid driver's licenses dropped from 13% in 2009 to 11% in 2010. In 2010, 12% of academic qualifications were not verified, this figure almost doubling from 6.5% in 2008 and 8.5% in 2009. False ID documents went 1% up on 2009, making 9% of ID documents unverifiable. View the full report.
