About our client:

One of South Africa's top independent creative agencies is looking for a Senior Integrated Strategist to join their team. They're fully integrated, have been around for over 20 years and are in a really great space, both creatively and client-wise. You'll help shape the strategic direction of some of their most exciting brands, across categories, disciplines and channels.

What the job involves:

• Owning the development of brand, communication and integrated strategies
• Turning research, data, cultural observations and consumer insights into sharp strategic thinking
• Writing compelling narratives and creative briefs worth solving
• Building trusted client partnerships and leading strategic conversations
• Influencing client decisions with confidence
• Collaborating closely with creative teams, client service and external partners
• Taking full ownership of strategic projects, from brief to execution
• Spotting opportunities, anticipating challenges and driving work forward independently

What you need to be considered:

• 8+ years of agency strategy experience, with at least 3 years in a senior strategic role
• A deep curiosity about people, culture, business and the world
• The ability to make sense of complexity and turn business problems into simple, powerful creative opportunities
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills
• Sound strategic judgement and the confidence to challenge assumptions
• A track record of taking initiative and delivering without needing to be managed
• Confident enough to lead, humble enough to listen
• 2 to 3 examples of your strategic work to share (case studies or decks, with confidential details removed)

Bonus points if you:

• Have worked across a wide range of categories
• Have experience with integrated campaigns that span multiple channels
• Make the people around you better and more ambitious
