"I love Fugi" day
94.5 Kfm listeners gathered in their hundreds at La Piazza at Canal Walk yesterday with banners, posters and t-shirts proclaiming their love for The Fugitive in the hope of winning R100 000. The fun formed part of 94.5 Kfm's reality game "The Fugitive" with Vodafone Live from Vodacom.
It all started earlier this week when the mischievous Fugi, feeling unloved, caught bounty hunters off guard with a new challenge: "be creative and show me your adoration." Listeners who've been hunting the elusive character went to great lengths to get this one right. They showed off their original "Fugi artwork", which included colourful banners decorated with hearts, "I love you" messages and photos of his love interest 94.5 Kfm presenter Charmaine Noy. Some female listeners even showed up in bridal wear to ask for Fugi's hand.
After surveying the scene from a distance, Fugi chose ten finalists, but Craig Maxwell from Parow West impressed him the most and walked away with the R100 000 cash prize.
