Telkom's ''Down memory lane'' ad a dud
This tv ad is very misleading and mischievous, to say the least.
In short, this tv commercial should be run by a telecoms inventor, not a supplier. Telkom is a monopoly, and consumers have no choice but to use Telkom.
Let's see, as a service provider, Telkom has failed dismally to satisfy the needs of the majority, especially those in marginalised locations.
The "valley" ad fitted the profile of Telkom, but not "touch tomorrow". There are currently well over 20 million cell phone subscribers in SA, with just over 7 million fixed line subscribers.. touch tomorrow indeed.
The creative team on that ad need to understand what Telkom is all about, it is a utility, and not an inventor nor innovator at all!
