Tru-Cape Fruit appoints new MD

Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing has announced the appointment of Roelf Pienaar as MD of the company with effect 1 January 2014. Tru-Cape Fruit specialises in the marketing of apples and pears.

Charles J Hughes, Tru-Cape's MD since inception in 2001, retires in December this year at the age of 60. Pienaar, who not only holds an MBA and is a CA, has also worked in the industry in supply chain management for supermarkets here and abroad. "He is highly qualified with excellent business experience. I know he will take Tru-Cape forward in a positive manner based on sound business principles," Hughes says.
