The appointment marks a significant step in Vodacom's continued marketing evolution, bringing creativity, data, technology, and production together in a single integrated operating model.
The new partnership will support Vodacom's evolution from a traditional telecommunications provider to a broader technology company, helping drive brand growth while enabling greater agility, personalisation and operational efficiency across its marketing ecosystem.
Andisa Ntsubane, managing executive of brand, marketing and communications at Vodacom, explains, "Our ambition is to build a future-ready marketing model that enables us to connect more meaningfully with customers, move at greater speed and unlock new growth opportunities.
“Publicis presented a fully integrated approach that supports these business objectives, and we are excited to begin this next chapter together."
Connected marketing ecosystem
PGA’s winning proposition showed how a connected marketing ecosystem could strengthen Vodacom’s brand relevance and accelerate innovation, improve efficiency, and create more personalised experiences for customers across its growing portfolio of products and services.
Koo Govender, chief executive oficer of Publicis Groupe Africa, says they are honoured by the trust Vodacom has placed in them.
“This appointment reflects a shared belief that world-class creativity, powered by data, technology and connected ways of working, can create meaningful business impact.
“We look forward to building a connected marketing model that supports Vodacom’s bold ambitions for its brand, customers and business.”
