I am an artist, painter and designer who have fetched inspiration from life's challenges often portraying the emotions in abstract form, but strangely have received accolades for my expressionist portrait work from our beloved Tatu Madiba and my other hero Ms. Oprah Winfrey, both enormous blessings. My sensibilities for and to interior architectural design, sees my strengths in decor ranging from purist minimalist to a classical orgy of mod. Indeed an architectural / art pervert with works in influential and inspirational homes here and internationally.
Having studied architecture shortly at the University of Cape Town post art classes at Zonnebloem practical art school under August John Hopley, Won the Rembrandt and Santam Youth Art prizes but saw it all way outside my brush, if you will and searched to find it in the throws of exploratory work.
Leaving my studies to help support a family of 18 children and an ailing mom in a wheel chair. After Mom's passing left to live in Hillbrow near my lover Prof. Pieter Van Coller, member of the then Christian Barnard Heart Transplant team at Groote Schuur. Life here had it own Challenges across the colour bar in a gay relationship, suffice it to be said.
