His achievements have been the execution of successful branding, communication and marketing of various NDA national campaigns and programmes. He has gained valuable experience working with top government and government agency officials with experience both in communication and marketing and development management.
He has been exposed to a number of projects around South Africa with the primary aim of dealing with socio-economic development of remote and rural communities. He has gained a keen understanding of strategic communications where they are financial constrains and overview of technical and operational aspects of the public sector.
He has worked with a number of Non-profit organisations, civil society organisations and cooperatives. His involvement with these organisations has been at a strategic level in giving support to them through the NDA and the work he does in his personal capacity.
He has developed skills in digital marketing, social media and marketing 3.0 to deal with the digital landscape. He is a confident individual who has excellent public speaking skills, excellent writing skills, critical thinking and active problem solving skills.
He currently also serves as the Executive Chairperson of the Calvary Methodist John Wesley Guild in Midrand, where he works with over 30 young people. He has also served as the founder and the Secretary General of the Students' Public Relations Association (SPRA) at the University of Johannesburg in the year 2011/2012. SPRA is still a vibrant organisation at the University of Johannesburg due to the strong foundation he and other founders laid. He also served as the Executive Chairperson of the Remember And Give (RAG) committee at the University of Johannesburg in 2012.
Lonwabo is a great speaker and speaks at a number of events as guest speaker and Master of Ceremony. He is particularly passionate about the youth and the development of South Africa.
