My name is Iviwe Jasmine Magantsela, I am a 23 year old South African female. I would like to take a few minutes of your time to let you know a bit about myself.
Firstly, I have acquired a Bachelor in Business Administration in
Entrepreneurial leadership degree from a varsity named Tsiba. My
degree was formed by leaders from prominent companies such as BATSA, Cliff Dekker, Pwc (the list is endless). Tsiba 's MD approached these companies in a quest to form a degree that would meet the ideal requirements for candidates that would potentially work for these corporates and many others. The aftermath of those workshops produced the Tsiba degree (Tsiba meaning, Tertiary School in Business Administration).
The Tsiba degree can be differentiated from other BBA's because of
what is offers eg ,Entrepreneurship courses , Career management,
self-development, practical industrial work (internships for the
duration of the degree), community leadership projects , mentor ship (from leaders of the above mentioned companies ) .Also as a form of" giving back" we were lectured by working professionals from these companies eg, Accounting was lectured by a CA from PWC, Business law by attorneys from Cliffe Dekker. This degree not only focuses on Marketing but it also goes into extent on how the business environment operates and how it is managed.
Secondly I have worked with a number of SMME's while acquiring my degree working as a business consultant. I was responsible for some of their business plans, business strategies for them to follow as well as advancing some of their operational, financial and marketing activities.
Thirdly , I was chosen out of fifteen candidates to take part in an
internship in Europe where I had to conduct market research for the company to see whether they could come into the South African market or not.Successfully I managed to give them a winning Marketing Strategy /report that eventually landed me with job with the company.
My role with the company was of a Marketing agent. That included
sourcing for clients, finding the best possible distribution channels
for our merchandise ( 5 kinds of European Branded Bag Labels ) ,
Opening up a base for the company here in South Africa. This meant that I was hands on with all parts of the business trying to establish the company in SA.Unfortunately due to unforeseen financial constraints on the companies' part, we had to put the venture on hold.
Recently I held a Position for Publicity Company called Total
Exposure, I was a PR/marketing Assistant, and we handled a number of immense accounts such as Ster kinekor, Network BBDO etc.
My role was to formulate impressive media lists, bookings and assisting with the organizing of events.
Currently I work for a company called Trialouge .My position here deals with communicating with clients making booking arrangements, organising gifts for delegates organising a conference, creating a master database etc.Since the conference I have been working as a Marketing & CSI support consultant with the company.
