I have experience with creative strategy, research, writing, content marketing, SEO, desktop publishing, social media management and client service.
Bongeka is a studious, creative and analytical University of KwaZulu Natal graduate (Bachelor of Social Science in Marketing Management, and Media and Cultural Studies).
Her decade of experience across various industries ranging from advertising, FMCG, media publishing and education has prepared her to take on bigger and more impactful challenges. Her focus/specialisation is digital communications - an area in which she intends to expand her knowledge and incorporate into the variety of her other interests.
In her previous roles, she has been operationally involved in and responsible for content marketing, SEO, publishing content on key social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube), data analysis and reporting using web analytics tools and social media platforms.
Other competence areas include administration, strategic market research, client liaison, event coordination.
Among her career highlights are being part of the teams responsible for coordinating the digital plan for the inaugural Project Runway South Africa television series in 2018, as well as facilitating the successful execution of the brand communications exhibitions for the 2016 Anglo American AIDS Conference, JSE Investment Challenge Awards, and most recently was responsible for the social media coverage of Kenwood South Africa's 'Cook With Kenwood 2023' competition in partnership with the International Hotel School.
