- Further developed my communication and customer service skills by dealing with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, executing solutions and concluding queries efficiently.
- Sending Terminal updates and communications on a daily basis to the Industry about the status of the port ensuring that customers are always kept in the loop and know what is happening in the Terminal.
- Attending & chairing customer meetings with Strategic customers, building relationships with strategic customers such as Maersk Line, CMA CGM, Evergreen Line and COSCO Shipping Line as well as assisting with their queries.
- Liaising with Operations and Planning Departments to acquire information that will be of assistance to customer queries.
- Creating documents that would assist employees with productivity in the Terminal and provide convenience to the Customer.
- Supporting the Customer League on the launch and Wellness Day where I explained the Customer League to employees and tried to provide knowledge on Transnet Customers and what they expect from us.
- Partnering with the Corporate Affairs department on Customer and Employee engagements setting up, taking pictures and ensuring that the engagement runs smoothly.
- Exposure and knowledge of the Operations, Planning and Corporate Affairs Department thus aware of how the departments work as a collective to ensure productivity and satisfied customers.
- Reporting on the budget and volumes to key personnel every Monday.
- Hosting Customers for port tours as well as International project teams.
- Reporting on the weekly performance of the Terminal as well as deviations to the Commercial Command Centre.
- Crafting project plans which are submitted to the executives & Board for approval
