Show profile Hide profileHaving completed my Bachelor of Social Sciences degree, majoring in Politics, Philosophy & Economics and most recently my Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management at the University of Cape Town I took time to work and travel around the world. During that period I opened and managed the second franchise of America's most exclusive private members club Casa Tua in Aspen, Colorado; worked as a teacher in London; a qualified yachtsman in Turkey; and spent 3 months as a Copy Writer and Strategist for the advertising agency 140 BBDO.
Combined with my numerous other work experiences during my 5 years of studying I am now both prepared and enthusiastic about entering a fulltime career in Marketing and Advertising. As someone with lots of creative energy, drive and passion for people - a profession within this industry best suits my personality, aspirations and business aptitude. My studies have tailored me with a hard and soft knowledge of day-to-day operations, as well as an extensive understanding of marketing and advertising principals. Furthermore my work experiences have been highly group and task orientated, engendering a high pressure working environment in which deadlines, creativity and effective people practices are paramount to success.
In addition to the wealth of knowledge acquired through my Management Studies I have been able to gain invaluable expertise through numerous work projects and experiences I have run over the years: From helping to found the Rocking the Daisies music festival, to running my own successful website at college to recently co-founding Mzansi Skill Share - a youth enablement project in Gugulethu township. Similarly group dynamics and communication skills have always been a passion of mine. Whether it be competing at the International Public Speaking and Debating championships overseas; doing courses in 'Enhanced Voice and Group Communication Skills' through the highly recognized The Voice Clinic; or winning a 'Junior Achiever' business certificate from Cambridge University for starting and running my own 12 man business when I was 17.
I am a dedicated, hard working and passionate person who sets high goals and strives towards them. I love interacting with people and could not imagine a career where I am not constantly working in a dynamic personnel environment; one, which is constantly striving to innovate and move forward. I would relish the opportunity to learn with - and become an invaluable part of - your team.
