Show profile Hide profileMy name is Esther Tlaleng Mofokeng. I was born in Mofolo Central in Soweto, Johannesburg.
In June 2014 I was head hunted by Innovation Republic Group off which I am still with the Organization. I am employed as the Events and Hospitality Manager, handling the South African Sport Awards and I am the Project Manager for Joburg Jazz Festival.
I am passionate about Event Management and always focus on finer detail and service delivery. I am disciplined, I am a hard worker, always acknowledge the work that needs to be done. I am not afraid of responsibilities and I handle challenges with a goal in mind.
My career started as a receptionist in 1998 with a Public Relations Company called NEXT Communications.
2 years later I joined Fedsure Life as a Client Services Administrator.
An opportunity to join the Events Industry was presented to me in the year 2000 when Jay-Emm Connections required an events coordinator in their Events Management wing. I worked my way up while enhancing my skills, managing and coordinating events.
In 2003 I joined About Entertainment which was an exciting venture for me. I learned another aspect of Event Management in the Entertainment Industry (booking and managing artists, speakers, musicians, etc.) for many corporate companies. I left About Entertainment to focus on the conference part of Eventing.
In 2005 I was appointed by Trade Conferences International as a Senior Conference Coordinator and managed small, medium and large conferences. When Trade Conference International was liquidated I went on to work with Endemol South Africa and worked on Big Brother Africa II, Deal or No Deal USA, as a freelance Production Coordinator.
SAIL Sport & Entertainment court my attention in 2008 and I was employed as an Events Coordinator in the Vodacom Events Division handling the Vodacom CEO's portfolio and managing events for Vodacom Foundation.
I have been afforded a great opportunity in 2010. I was appointed by the office of Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe as an Event Project Coordinator and Front of House Manager at African Fashion Internal. This was a 10month contract.
In 2011, I joined Emoyeni Estate on a 1 year contract.
In 2012, Commercial Department at Stadium Management South Africa (FNB Stadium, Orlando Stadium, Dobsonville Stadium and Rand Stadium) was a part of my life until 2013. While with Stadium I was afforded an opportunity to work on the opening and closing ceremony of 2013 AFCON Football Tournament and many high profile events and concerts.
I will appreciate it that I am considered for the Events Manager vacancy, as I believe I would be able to enhance and advance in my career and become of value in assisting in services I would be required to perform.
I am confident that your Organisation will add value to my career; I will apply my skills and will enable me to grow within your Establishment with discipline, commitment, hard work and dedication.
