I entered the media industry as an insert producer for etv's flagship breakfast show, Sunrise. Then I steered my production ship to a new side of the media world - TV promo production. I also have a penchant for writing and words, thus, my current fixation is freelance online writing. My area of expertise is brand marketing and SEO.

My media career started off as a Segment and Field Producer for eTV. The first half of my role involved booking guests for live interviews, maintaining a contact list, writing live-read scripts, managing supporting elements for the interviews (like footage and music), and administering music cue details. The second half - my role as field producer - saw me coordinating field shoots. This entailed booking interviewees, scouting locations, conducting interviews, directing a cameraman and video editor, writing scripts and voiceovering.
After 3 years at eTV, I ventured into promo production for Studio Zoo. One of my clients was DStv for which I produced a handful of promos. My role included interpreting client briefs; conceptualising a promo based on the brief; copywriting; working with stock footage; and directing voiceover artists, video editors and graphic designers.
After 6 months at Studio Zoo, I decided to go freelance as a writer and broke into the online industry. My strengths are lifestyle and home decor industries, which encompasses health, fashion, renovations, furniture, interior design, getaways and so on. The list is endless. My expertise in this area is SEO, branding and marketing.
I have also done voiceover work for a range DStv competition promos.
With regard to my tertiary qualifications, I have a degree in Film and Media Production from the University of Cape Town. Here, I gained skills in scriptwiting for television and documentaries.
Although my current line of work is writing for the online medium, I am still available for TV production, copywriting, voiceover and promo production work.
