Show profile Hide profileMy name is Sylvester Fihla and I am a graphic designer residing in Cape Town as I have completed my studies in graphic design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and graduated with a diploma in 2014. I worked as a freelance designer at a company called XPRNZ in Harrington Street in which I designed for a company called Red oak Green and at the Mischu Bar where I did product photography for a coffee shop and worked doing social media advertising for Red Oak Green.
I then decided to further study Web design at Unisa in 2016 and I completed a short course in HTML and CSS3 web design to add to my design skill set. I worked at Cape Town TV in the post production department as a graphic designer and I designed logos and title straps for some very exciting tv shows. From there I worked at a company called Pixel faerie as a desktop publisher in Cape Town.
I am motivated enough to add photography to my plethora of design skills as I aim to achieve the goal of becoming a very talented photographer fit enough for industry work. Besides design, I also love music as I am a guitarist mostly rock n roll. I would be so delighted to add events photography to my arsenal of design skills.
I am enthusiastic about learning everything about my camera as I want to be a professional photographer working Industry work, for instance product photography and advertising. During my free time I would be interested in doing freelance event photography having attending a lot of concerts.
I also enjoy outdoor photography like taking lovely photos of the bay area on a nice day with stunning weather for the spectacular views. I have a lovely adorably cute kitten named Jinjer, I hold dear to my heart. I love taking photographs of my pets which inevitably makes me also interested in pet photography. I love the way a photographer can capture the emotion in photography.
I would really love to learn about working with the contrast in portrait photography and having to be able to know what the perfect time is to do a photo shoot at the golden hour just to know when the sun is right to capture amazing photographs.
I have decided to study the full-time professional photography because I am certain I will gain as much knowledge as I can from a very reputable photography school in which I feel I will become an established professional photographer.
