My name is S'nethemba Ngubane, former journalist at the Sunday Tribune as well as the Tribune Herald. I'm self-motivated and highly ambitious young woman in possession of a 3 year National Diploma in Journalism and vast experience in the various sectors of the media industry (please see attached resume).
I am currently employed as an Office Manager/PA for an engineering consulting company but am currently looking to get back into the Media and Communications industry, and I trust I have the necessary qualifications to make an impact in this industry.
I'm a hard working individual, quick learner, self-motivated, work well in a group and love building relationships with new persons.
One can never stop learning so I am looking forward to an open world of new possibility and learning from each experience.
I look forward to new involvements, interacting with new individuals and experiencing different environments, hence expanding my knowledge and skills in a professional and personal capacity.
In varsity I majored in Online during my 3rd year of study but I am well rounded in other sectors of the media due to the broad field of study packaged in the course I took (please see resume). My greatest passion is broadcasting, during my 3rd year of study at DUT I was voted as chairperson for the radio committee, but unfortunately I was unable to obtain an internship in the broadcasting arena. Working at a newspaper though has seen me come to respect, understand and appreciate print media. It also propelled my knowledge of journalism and taught me how to tackle hard news stories, write objectively and creatively as well as interact with persons from different sectors, which I most certainly believe is a must for any individual looking to get ahead in the media industry.
