Hard work, determination, resilience and the ability to adapt in the ever changing SA market describe my business ethos. I have the same fire for making a success my employers business as they do, as my career and reputation are just as important to me. I am currently focused on conceptualizing responsive new business development strategies; researching and absorbing from peers in the industry as well as passing it on through skills and knowledge transfer.
I have 16 years business experience, 8 years of which in media at a mid-senior level. I am a client service specialist with key skills lying in key account management and development through solutions selling. I have strategic planning and selling experience in both above and below the line media.
Over the past 8 years I have built relationships with corporates such as Edcon, Tiger Brands, Standard Bank, McDonalds, African Sales, Prestige Cosmetics, The Estee Lauder Group, and have formed relationships with media agencies such as OMG and various creative and PR agencies along the way.
Besides working for various media owners, the foundation of my experience has been built on direct marketing, with the ability to incorporate above and below the line media in line with the tight budgetary constraints in today's market.
I am proficient in various media planning platforms such as AMPS, RAMS - Telmar, ABC's Adex and most other media planning and research resources, such as using relationships within Telmar to gain specialist industry insight.
I have insight into and relationships with various media suppliers.
A further strength lies in revenue generation through agile business development strategies and the implementation thereof. Consequent to previous experience I have gained varied knowledge within specific industries such as FMCG, Cosmetics and Retail. I have a keen personal interest in my clients and follow their industries and their specific marketing activities and strategies closely.
I am proficient in Windows and Microsoft and some CRM packages and enjoy learning and adapting to new systems as well as formulating and implementing my own.
