I'm a marketing passionista blessed with a curious mind and evolving interests from naturalism to neuroscience!
Show profile Hide profileWith a B Comm Marketing Management Degree, I've gained thorough experience while completing a range of modules which has provided me with useful scope. I worked as a bursary student for the Telkom Graduate Development Schemes division which included a lot of promoting of bursaries at career exhibitions - I promoted the prospects of obtaining a solid tertiary education as well as the Telkom bursary itself and the opportunity it renders. This position involved everyday tasks such as mail drafting, data updating, file management and dealing with students and staff everyday and ensuring their queries are always dealt with and that they are satisfied. I was afforded the opportunity in June 2010 to work for a strong company in the media owner sector - and was offered a position at Caxton Magazines as part of the advertising sales division. As a Marketing Services Executive, I ensured our key accounts team always had the correct figures, information and presentations to present to clients that would motivate advertising spend. This didn't only mean a lot of figure analysis and creative presentation work, but I was given the opportunity to meet with clients in order to gain an understanding of their needs. After 21 months at a wonderful company where I gained so much systems, client and presentation experience, I felt it was time to broaden my horizons and begin work within a new, dynamic industry and started working for Leegra Marketing on the 1st of April. Here, I am a Campaign coordinator and ensure promotions are planned and then of course run smoothly and that the client's expectations are met.
