I am currently completing a Master's Degree in English Literature and will be finished by January 2015. Besides the formal work I have conducted at UCT such as consulting at the Writing Centre and tutoring I have also been freelancing as a writer and editor. In short, the English language is where my skills lie, whether it's writing, reading, editing or proofreading.
February 2014 - present: Consultant at the Writing Centre, UCT
Duties include conducting one-on-one writing consultations with UCT students from all disciplines, addressing structure, argument, coherence, clarity and grammar.
February 2014 - present: Tutor in the English Department, UCT
Preparing lessons and teaching the First Year curriculum to two classes and marking all of their coursework and exams.
January 2013 - present: Freelance copy writing and proofreading
This has included writing and checking copy, mostly for web content, for a number of different fields.
