I am a recent graduate returning to South Africa from a year of work abroad seeking employment. My studies have covered a range of subjects from Science to Business which have given me a broad sense of understanding and allow me to-assess tasks from many angles. I believe this is crucial in the work place for a critical thinking mind-set. Since my graduation I have qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner (Projects in Controlled Environments) allowing me to understand a project framework and how effective projects can be in increasing a customer's real bottom line value. I studied this as I am interested in pursuing a career in Corporate Sustainability, Business Management and Project Management.
During my postgraduate year I led a team of students creating a successful business that established a respectful net profit. This taught me the value of team work and the practical and conceptual aspects of business. Whilst working overseas, I had many responsibilities such as personally organising and leading English camps and supervising new employees. My time abroad has made me realise the importance and value of good and clear communication and how critical this is to achieving objectives.
My diverse background and education has given me an interdisciplinary skill set, from critical thinker to problem solver. I am a driven individual wanting to learn, grow and establish a successful career whilst adding value to the company in which I work.
