Working at a video and production company, on documentaries, commercials and corporate videos, in capacities including:
Camera Assistant, PA, boom swinger, dolly operator and runner; Coordinating.
Working with other clients on productions, through director's recommendations.
Monitor: Media Monitoring Africa "a Human Rights Organization" (2006-2010)
Worked on a number of projects, monitoring coverage of issues including HIV and Aids, Elections, Children's Rights and Gender. This involved:
Monitoring, evaluation and analysis of television news, radio news and newspaper articles. Teaching children how to speak read and write English and teaching them their rights as people.
Assisting with data capturing, where needed.
Developing knowledge of human rights and good practices in reporting.
Researcher, Project Manager and Sub-titler - Pinduwa Media (2009-2011)
Began as a sub-titler, then entrusted as a researcher and project manager for Akani, a tertiary education program for SABC Education. This involved:
Researching topics including theology, law, Human rights, agriculture and politics.
Finding stories; sourcing and communicating with experts, and; scheduling interviews and site visits.
