The academic qualifications at my disposal include an undergraduate, and post graduate arts degrees in the field of Communications (B.A. Communications, B.A Communication Honours), as well as another postgraduate degree in business administration (MBA).
I previously occupied the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Staff (Head of Ministry) Director of Corporate Affairs & Marketing, Lecturer & Head of the Academic Departments of Communications & Applied Languages, as well as Public Relations and Business Communication, Researcher, Journalist and Reporter.
In respect of the practice of communications management, I have extensive experience of having developed and implemented an institutional marketing strategy, reputation management, events management, media relations, stakeholder relations management, change management communication, publications management, and brand management. Recognition for this work was followed by industry awards to the institution I worked for.

I have a firm comprehension of corporate governance related applicable legislation, developing reports for the shareholder representative and governance reporting framework. In addition, I previously developed a 5 years strategic plan, annual performance plans for approval by the relevant Portfolio Committee of the Provincial Legislature.

My related technical expertise includes fundraising, workplace structuring, risk management, action standards to deal with irregular expenditure as well as managing human resources and financial delegations. I have served in governance structures which include a University Council, an entity Board and its Committees.
