Show profile Hide profileHello, my name is Maxine Jacobs. I am a professional problem solver, a Graphic Designer.
You might ask yourself, "What is Graphic Design?" Graphic Design is finding the solution, it is the organization of the visual
elements to communicate an idea to an audience. I incorporate this idea and definition into all of my graphic work - pushing
the relation to the audience and the message conveyed through the organization of the design - solving the problem with
successful communication.
My graphic abilities range from the personal side to the corporate venue. I can create clean, modern, and fun logos, print
material, product, and marketing items for an event, business, or individual. Adobe software such as Illustrator, InDesign, and
Photoshop provide my digital canvas. The majority of my work is created in Illustrator and InDesign due to the unlimited
vector and formatting options they provide.
Graphic Design is a challenging, fun, creative, and rewarding field where anything and everything is possible when audience,
content, color, and communication are organized in a visually pleasing and understandable way. I love the gratification of
solving the problem and finishing a design that is well received by my peers, superiors, and clients.
As I look back at my fairly brief experience at creating art I have come to realize that all of my art has been based on identity,
story telling, in essence my "becoming"--an artist, a designer, a student of life. What I love most about creating art is getting
charged-up about an idea/concept, translating experience into imagery, when the work comes together as a whole and portrays
what I am trying to say, and especially if it makes a social impact on the viewer.
I hope to work in the Graphic Design field for the rest of my career life, it is my passion, it awakens my soul, and I wouldn't
give this up for anything.
