×I have recently completed the Bachelor of Technology in Journalism, from the Tshwane University of Technology. I was employed by eMalahleni FM community radio station, as an assistant news editor and current affairs producer. I also did my 6-month internship at the community radio station, as a field reporter in 2016. I am a friendly, trustworthy and keen to learn more, naturally I am a hard and smart worker and I take pride in my work
While I was in varsity I worked at the Witbank News during my June holidays and March at the Emalahleni FM in 2014. During 2015 I did practicals together with classmates where we worked for the local newspaper in Soshanguve, Record Noweto, and we wrote reviews and features for TUT Online News at Journo express.blogspot.com. I also did radio practicals with TUT FM "live@12" where we did live shows and produced news content for the show. We also did live television broadcasting for TUT TV where we covered local community stories.
This exposure was the highlight of my career for one, I have acquired valuable experience, knowledge and skills which I find very useful in the current working environment. My writing skills have drastically improved and I have learned to gather, record and capture any format of images, sounds and videos and present them as a complete package.
The working environment has exposed one to different programs, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe's InDesign and Photoshop. I have mastered skills such as creating and editing audio and visuals using Wave Pad and Video Pad. I have learned to work under severe pressure, meet deadlines and juggle many tasks at the same time without compromising the quality of work. All these activities were accomplished with the help of colleagues and I realised the importance of team-work at the working place.
