I have been in sales for a few years now, and can honestly say that I have found my calling. Whilst it isn't the sum total of my ability it is certainly the field I get the most enjoyment from. I enjoy interacting with people and forming lasting relationships that have benefitted the companies that I have worked for. I find that through hard work, time in front of customers and often by doing the difficult sales activities such as cold calling or "asking for the deal" that I have, to date, been able to outsell my counterparts. This is apparent in the commission to salary ratios that you will see later within the document. I pride myself in my ability to sell and as a result have been very fortunate in getting large commissions over the years which in turn means that I have contributed positively to the bottom line.
