Show profile Hide profileWHAT must CHANGE
In South Africa we have a recorded 19.2 million unemployed people between the working ages of 15 - 64
The department of education estimates that 7.5 million children walk barefoot to school every day
The traditional charity model is reliant on funding rendering it unstable and difficult to sustain.
Corporate CSI initiatives play a critical part in addressing South Africa's needs. However, with the focus being on funding the arena of children and education, it is crucial that we find a sustainable way to fund conservation initiatives and address unemployment.
BRANDS FOR CHANGE
Thousands of employment opportunities will arise through the creation of our locally manufactured designer brand. The high end price point allows the brand to support worthwhile initiatives through the transparent redirecting of equity within our price point, replacing the traditional "fundraising platform".
GENERATION NOW is the new Big Idea
A global MOVEMENT led by renowned conservation activist Eugene Cussons, and backed by the BRANDS FOR CHANGE product range that represents a shift in mind-set and an innovative way of doing business.
Our target market is known as GENERATION Y - we call them GENERATION NOW:
our BRAND name : our MOVEMENT : the YOUTH : TOMORROWS LEADERS
The GENERATION NOW consumer has a voice and is the most sophisticated consumer yet!
Social media platforms allow GENERATION NOW to put their name behind what they believe in. They are part of the process and play a vital role in any marketing campaign.
GENERATION NOW will spend money on pieces that are 'trend right' yet timeless in terms of quality and style.
Plugged into the Web's endless information and choices, they are selective and less brand loyal than their peers.
GENERATION NOW have come of age amid eroding respect for institutions, including corporations and brands, and even before the recession they craved authentic products-for example, buying footwear from the American brand Toms Shoes, which donates a pair to those in need for every pair it sells.
The time is right for GENERATION NOW:
The brand that supports EDUCATION & HUMANITIATIANISM & raises funds for CONSERVATION.
Ian McCallum published a beautifully written book of poetry called WILD GIFTS. He writes:
" These poems are for the 'WILD PARTS OF OURSELVES '.........there is a likelihood of interdependence between all living things .......................that when a single species dies , something in us dies also.
Our challenge I believe, is this - to try to 'see' beyond our own life time, to be alert to the meaning that wild animals have in our lives and the lives of our children and their children."
