I am currently studying for a BA Honours in Media, have completed BA degree majoring in broadcasting and media policy and have a passion for media studies. I am equipped with analytical skills, communicate efficiently and effectively which is vital to the industry.
The four year programme at Wits, dealt with news writing; issues in new media and society and the political economy of news media. Also covered, were issues of broadcasting, advertising, making documentaries and the ICASA regulations. I taught Adult Based Education and Training (ABET) as part of the institution's initiative addressing of skills development. It involved main duties like teaching adults basic numeracy skills, preparing class tests and marking scripts.
Competencies achieved in my career are news collection, filing and report writing. The contributions that I made at Wazzup Ops magazine will give me an edge in another publication.
I look forward to the challenges that would face me as a writer. I am convinced that my academic abilities and determination to succeed will make me an asset in your respective organization.
