I am a Rhodes University Graduate having completed my undergraduate in Journalism and Media Studies as well as Political and International Studies in 2011. This year, I have completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management (PDMM), also at Rhodes and have also worked, part-time, at Olivia Jones Communications.

I feel that this education and work experience has given me a holistic understanding of the media industry in South Africa and, more importantly, has given me problem solving skills and the ability to be innovative and think on my feet in the working world.

During my undergraduate years, I completed some work experience at various media institutions such as The Sunday Tribune and The Mercury.

This year, I decided to gain experience in a different facet of the media industry and applied for an internship at Olivia Jones Communications. My internship ran for six weeks during my winter vacation and I worked on events such as the Nissan Winter Classic, The Red Bull Nightshift as well as the Mr Price Pro Ballito Beach Festival. I have since been writing for OJC on a part-time basis.

Additionally, I started writing for another agency, Brightspark Communications, from October of this year as well.
