Show profile Hide profileI have attained an Honours Degree in Public Management and Governance (2015), a BA Degree in Corporate Communication (2014) and a Certificate in Marketing and Sales Management (2011). I chose this career path because am passionate about Communication and quality service delivery in both private and public sectors.
I am currently a PR and Marketing Coordinator at Rams Professional Training and Conferencing on a contract basis. I have also completed my 12 month contract at the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) within the Communication unit in March 2017. In this position, I worked within the Marketing and Stakeholder Management sub-unit. My duties included: The planning and coordination of Minister, Deputy Minister and some of the Director-General's events, compiling reports on events that have taken place, brand management for events, making sure that budgets for events are adhered to, in collaboration with State Owned Companies under DPE's portfolio (Eskom and Transnet), contributing to the internal newsletter, contributing to the quarterly newsletter for the department, taking part in exhibitions and public participation programmes, contributing to the department's social media pages, daily media assessment and general administration such as taking minutes for meetings, compiling reports every quarter about how the unit has performed and coordinating planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders for events, updating the stakeholder database and developing a stakeholder plan. I have worked on events in Limpopo, Eastern Cape, Cape Town, North West, Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Northern Cape
During my university studies, I used to work as a brand ambassador for Brand Soldiers. I have worked with brands such as Samsung, Volkswagen SA at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show, Kfc, Nestle and ABI (Coca-Cola). I am registered as a member of Prisa (Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa), which is a professional body for Public Relations and Communication professionals in Southern Africa. I have completed a course in PR Practice and Advanced PR Writing through Prisa. My membership at Prisa has enabled me to gain valuable skills, qualifications and practical knowledge which can benefit any organisation.
