Show profile Hide profile"What inspires you, to lead on a journey of travel, education, music and entertainment?" This is question that I have answered repeatedly in boardrooms, offices and dinner tables. The experience is about finding the true intentions of a new society, whether it may be learning their culture and collecting information, for me it creates some sort closure to a motivating puzzle.
The journey began in Soweto where I found myself surrounded by poverty and hunger for growth, this is where I was taught about the people "the consumer" that experiment and maintain brand loyalty when satisfied with a stable price. Moving next door to Johannesburg lays the medium and high class of education and wealth seen through my years of schooling in suburbia. With all the pressures of the concrete jungle, I found myself in a space of students and old age homes, Port Elizabeth: grounded me to further my education (media, marketing and PR/Event Management found my attention), music (lounge, jazz, break beat and hip hop found my ear) and beauty found my eye.
3years later, I found myself back in Johannesburg hungry to earn. I found, Marcus Brewster Publicity, the best coach that excised my attention to detail and with that extensive media contacts, I took it along with me to the Soweto based company, Ginjabred Media (specializing in PR & event management). I created new business for the company; I left the company with 6 new clients (the what box - brand management, 2can - Wi-Fi service provider and more).
Cape Town called me; all I heard was the sea and a comfort zone for me to assist at King James' Atmosphere Communications. Some would call them "the best pr agency in South Africa". I assisted in traditional and non traditional PR for whisk(e)y clients such as Bells, J&B and Bushmills. I also learnt how to manage events and how to create a buzz on social media. I'm back a Ginjabred and co-directing to new spheres...
