Justin Palte
An authority in both the Digital Marketing and eCommerce industries, with over 15 years' experience and a number of successful online business ventures under his belt, Justin currently heads up the Marketing team at Zando.co.za (South Africa's Largest Online Fashion Retailer) where he manages a multidisciplinary digital marketing team.
He recently completed his MBA through Henley Business School at the University of Reading (UK).

Rocket Internet is one of the most successful Internet incubators globally responsible for starting hundreds of market leading e-commerce companies. Comparable to Zalando in Europe, Zando is based in Cape Town and warehouses in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Zando is part of the Jumia Group which is present in 23 African countries and is responsible for more than 70 companies in different industries.
As Head of Marketing my current responsibilities include:
* Owner of all marketing channels, including: ATL (TV & Radio), Display (Doubleclick) / Re-targeting (Criteo), Paid Search, SEO, CRM, Newsletters, PR, UX, Affiliate, Soclal, Partnerships & the App
* Management the Marketing Roadmap and Strategy
* Define the channel strategy, develop plans & tactics
* Management of the Marketing Budget (including allocation budgets by channel according to performance and strategic priorities)
* Management of the Marketing calendar, driving alignment across all marketing channels (including strategic and seasonal plans and achieving key growth KPI's)
* Evaluation of new technologies & providing business case for adoption where appropriate
* Measurement of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals / KPIs
* Prioritization of IT related marketing initiatives + co-ordination through agile sprints
* Consumer insights: quantitative and qualitative, through NPS / CLV and other initiatives
* Campaign Management (eg Sales, Black Friday) via cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Design & Content Teams.
* Third party partnerships opportunities
* Marketing Intelligence through BI
* Work in conjunction with 3rd parties to to execute advertising campaigns through offline media
* Driving development of the Zando App
* Managing large multidisciplinary marketing team
* Working closely with Co CEOs to deliver on company objectives
