Having graduated at the University of Witwatersrand, Johnny wasted no time going in to the South African Film Industry, he started by editing loveLife commercials and went on to editing reality shows and Music Videos, having worked on SAFTA Award winning Drama When We Were Black, he continued to exploit his talent and was later nominated for the SAFTA Best Editor in a Drama and the winning never stop as the production he gets his hands on either getting nominated or scooping awards, He edit all different genres from Documetaries for TV & Cinema to PSA, to reality shows, to music videos, talking about music videos, his music video (Khuli Chana's Tswak Stik'em) wont the channel O music video award making it the best not only in South Africa but in the rest of Africa and was also nominated for Best Music Video for the Hype Magazine Awards. Johnny's shows have been shown appreciation by africa as a whole together with his involvement with the PAN African reality show Imagine Africa season 1,2,3 which was viewed in over 33 african countries. Johnny still continues to explore his talen.
