Food for Thought: Brand archetypes and the future of advertising
Some friendly comments on the brain stuff..Regarding the quote, "We make decisions based in a part of our brain called the basal ganglia and what this does is constantly monitor if our brain is in an excited state or not." There is no single part of the brain that makes decisions nor is it possible for a "part of our brain" to monitor the brain.Also, we do in fact make decisions based on rational thought (as well as emotional reactions). Making decisions "on the state of our brain at that point" really doesn't make much sense as it implies that logical decisions are not made by a state of the brain.
