I have had experience in lecturing, tutoring and one-on-one teaching in the field of language in general, most aspects of general linguistics as well as academic literacy.
I am a passionate, enthusiastic and jovial person with a positive attitude.
After teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea for a year, I am currently teaching a part time language course for students in the SciMathUS programme at the University of Stellenbosch. I am, however, eager to find a more permanent position in a similar field.
In 2009, I obtained my MPhil in Second Language Studies at the Linguistics Department at the University of Stellenbosch. During my studies, as well as after the completion of my Master's degree, I worked as a tutor and lecturer at the same University in the fields of Linguistics, Language in general, and specifically linguistic literacy on an academic level.

I am a hard worker who thrives on working on correcting and developing language and am completely computer literate - Microsoft Office and Word included. Having a jovial personality, I enjoy working in groups, and definitely do not have trouble working individually either. Lastly, I believe punctuality to be one of the most important character traits in the workplace and am therefore rarely late.
