I work in a variety of creative mediums and disciplines - this includes fine art, green graphic design, photography and workshop facilitation. I do design, illustration and marketing for Apmil Game & Creative Studio, and work as brand manager for StateoftheART.co.za. My art is inspired by natural cycles and landscapes.

Janet Botes is a visual artist from South Africa, inspired by the natural cycles of nature - the growth/decay balance, seasonal changes, the tides and erosion within the landscape. Her work tends to be process based and intuitive, and is intended as an expression and celebration of the earth's rhythms, captured within a moment. She has been involved with projects hosted by organizations such as VANSA (Visual Arts Network of South Africa), Greatmore Studios (Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa), and the global 350.org movement, and she has exhibited in group exhibitions throughout South Africa. She was one of the artists for the 2011 regional Koekenaap workshop (South Africa) and participated in the 2013 Site_Specific International Land Art Biennale in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa.

Janet works with small and medium-sized companies, and also focus on design for NGO's and environmental awareness. Janet has extensive experience in creating logo designs, doing web-based visual promotion, graphic (print) design and illustration work for a wide range of different clients - including art galleries, shopping malls, training companies, marketing companies and music bands.
Specialities include Illustration, green design, hand-drawn illustration, painting, logo design and digital illustration (vector as well as pixel-art).
