Sound design has been a passion of mine from a very young age. I have always been a very creative thinker and have made it my goal to be a jack of all trades when it comes to multimedia. I strive to acquire as much knowledge as I can in sound, video and graphic design. All my products are of an exceptional standard of quality and deadlines are managed correctly. I have an efficient workflow and wide range of technical skills.
My name is James Barnes and i am seeking a full time position in sound design & music production. I have been working in the past as a graphic designer for various businesses since there was more work available however I wish to pursue my passion for a skill i am greatly experienced in. All of my music production work until now has been either freelance work or releasing albums and eps by the alias of "cook" with various collaborations and outsource projects and so this will be my first step in a professional sound design career.
Despite my limited professional experience in the field i can assure my understanding of the subject should prove its worth.
I have an in depth understanding of sound design and can create drum, percussion, synth leads, pads, atmosphere, fx and more using various forms of synthesis and can create a wide variety of genres and styles for any mood. I am experienced in all stages of music production from the early stages of composition and arrangement to the final mix-down and distribution.
I always stay up to date with all the latest trends in sound design and music and in my spare time teach music production lessons.
Music is my life, and i am on a constant mission to push the sonic boundaries and shift perspectives of what can be achieved with the endless possibilities of sound design.
