Business Development | Key Accounts
o Generated own client base and robust prospect client pipeline line through consistent territory management though out Africa, research, review, competitor mapping and defining a target area
o Engaged with architects, quantity surveyor's, roofing contractors, property developers, local authorities and any other stakeholder within the construction space - selling in steel roof sheeting, insultation, lightweight steel frames and trusses, roof tiles and rainwater goods
o Generated accredited CPD presentations and product demonstrations, negotiating, influencing, agreeing terms and setting up project costs including reviewing of bill of quantities, payment terms, CGIC cover, formulating methods to create win/win outcomes
o Developed, solidified and leveraged key relationships to extend product range and increase revenue streams and gross profit margins
o Managed the full order life cycle from order to site installation, site supervision through to post installation inspection with technical teams; issuing approved installers and material warranties
• Operations
o Supply chain management for larger projects - engaging with the preferred supplier list (PSL), sourcing quality products, negotiating optimised rate where able, logistics management and delivery tracking - retaining a hands-on approach to all process of the order cycle and supply chain
o Budget management and forecasting, adopting various strategies to narrow the gap between forecast to actual, planning and providing reports on client base, sales values, market penetration etc
• Logistics Management
o Working closely with the transport manager to ensure delivery of product/raw material to clients
o Route planning to ensure cost effective, quickest route to client, tracking delivery and whereabout of fleet or liaison with appointed outsourced transport agents
o Internal fleet optimisation of 14 vehicles, national and international coverage
• Achievements
o 2018: Top Sales Achiever in 2 months generating over R12 million and increasing sales product volume substantively to +/- 350 tons a month with the average project covering 450m² to 120000m²
o Introduced an "auto-log book" database to streamline reporting cycles - encompassing business development and account management call cycles, expense logging, fuel consumption and mileage for sales consultants
o Invited on to the High Individual Performance Program, mentored by the National Sales Director
