CURRENTLY - 2011
* Editing the MJ Lourens Documentary on the Wedding DJ's for Prefab-films.
* Conceptualising, shooting, directing and editing "Die Vegas Show" under The Yuppie group for DSTV's MK channel. A reality show of a social butterfly hanging out with South African celebrities. There are 6 Episodes.
* Conceptualising, shooting, directing and editing "Kyk'nBiekie". A reality series of 6 Episodes based on the everyday endeavors of the Afrikaans duet "Hulle". This is a Firestorm Productions project in association with Sony's Nostalgie Musiek and will air in March 2012 on Kyknet.
* Conceptualising, shooting and editing music video's for Esti and Chimuna.
IN 2010
* Worked for Ground Glass production company as in-house editor and researcher.
* In 2010 I co-created a campaign entitled 2010 Human Traffic. It was aimed at raising awareness on human trafficking. It was an online campaign and utilised Rich Media, a Website, Blogs, Social Media platforms as well as an Online Mail Client to raise awareness and educate people on this contentious issue.
I researched/conceptualised/shot/edited/uploaded/managed the campaign.
* Directing and editing the "Almost Legends" web series under Firestorm Productions. This had been unsuccessful at airing on television.
* Since 2008 I created a variety of video and related creative material with Firestorm Productions. This varies from Television adverts to Activist Media...or maybe you like something really risky. I am 'n bit of a busy body and do have an immense social conscience which propels my work ethic. I personally like the Rage Expo 2008 documentary the best.
FROM 2003-2007
* I was Head Lecturer in Physical Theatre at the University of Stellenbosch responsible for setting up and executing the practical as well as theoretical components of the course from first to fourth year. In this time I also wrote a thesis on "Intercultural Presence in Occidental Theatre Practices" but I ran out of money prior to completing it so I started working in film/television/rich media.
FROM 2001-2000
* I am a passionate drama man. I have created/played/directed 52 full-length theatre productions. There is not a theatre style or theory I am not familiar with. I have worked with or played in every known theatre director in South Africa's productions.
I can do Hamlet, do mime, do background cast but I can't play in a South African 'soapie'.
