×Elske Joubert
I have 4 years experience in the magazine and book publishing industry. I have writing, editing, proofreading, translating and content curating experience.
Show profile Hide profileI started off my career in the magazine publishing industry in 2012 after graduating from Stellenbosch University with a postgraduate degree in Document Design and Analysis.
I worked as an intern at Tuis|Home and Idees|Ideas magazines. I later became the Digital and Marketing Assistant at Tuis|Home magazine. After that, book publishing beckoned me and I was employed as the Digital Editorial Assistant, responsible for the project management of the conversion of e-books, audio books and applications for NB Publishers. I later felt called to be more involved in the traditional publishing side of the business and became the Editorial Assistant at Lux Verbi, an imprint of NB Publishers.
After about 10 months, I applied for the Editor position at Jonathan Ball Publishers where my main duty was to project manage the conversion of e-books for the local publishing list.
I was contacted via LinkedIn by the CEO and founder of a startup company called 10billiondreams to develop and upload content for the website on a contract basis, and also to assist with managing the online community of the website. Taking this job allowed me to venture into the world of freelance and independent consultancy, where I now find myself.
