I am a designer that knows...
My passion for design started at the age of 17 and through my love of skateboarding. The distinctive styles and designs of the skateboarders' clothes and deck designs led me to start sketching all I was seeing around me. I realised that this interest and enthusiasm would serve me well in a career in graphic, web design and brand Marketing.
I have high expectations for the standards I set myself. I believe I excel at following strict instructions and am able to work to very tight timescales. Past employers and clients have commented on my excellent interpersonal skills and I believe that I am a good team player but have the ability to use my initiative and work independently when required. I have completed various diplomas in graphic and web design at the IT Connection Academy as well as additional courses on computer technical and networking. I have experience working as a DTP and designer and this has taught me how to work with certain media in the correct format to help get a high quality finished product ready for printing.
My love for skateboarding has made me look at life and objects from different angles which I feel has shaped my style of design. I enjoy the design industry because of its constantly changing nature and the diversity and challenge of the work involved. I feel I would bring new ideas with my commitment and personal drive for perfection.
