My name is Daniela SteckeI. I am currently a third year Public Relations Student and will be graduating at the end of this year (2013). Part of my requirements to be able to graduate at the end of this year includes certain hours of practical work at a PR company/ or any other industry related company.
My goal however is to work at an industry related company right through the year, and not only to do the practical hours that are expected of us to do. I have already worked within the industry throughout my studies and therefore have gained some valuable experience. Not only have I experienced the hard work and pressure that comes along with the PR industry, but also completed a short course in Events Management.
My ideal goal would be to work for a company during the week- but please also bear in mind that I am still a student and would need to attend classes too- which would only be half days. After proving myself to the company that chooses to accept my application regarding my circumstances (having to still attend classes during the year as well as working at a company)- I would aim to work myself upwards in that company and perhaps continue working for them full time in 2014.

From my tertiary education and job experience in the PR and Marketing world, I have experience in writing, proofreading, organising events, phone pitches, researching, and sourcing new leads, sponsorship, social media as well as Microsoft office. I am skilled at learning new concepts quickly, and communicating ideas clearly and effectively. I have gained valuable experience in the social media, digital marketing and public relations field (during my previous working experiences); with writing press releases, getting articles placed in publications and putting together ideas and new plans.
I am a clear and well-spoken person, so I am able to communicate well with people of different cultures.
